Is a Survive Life camp the same as a bootcamp or gap year camp ?
Yes, our Survive Life camp is in essence a bootcamp or gap year camp but we focus on individual student growth and skills development.
Is this camp a military style camp where I will be forced into activities I do not want to do ?
No ! Absolutely not ! We are NOT a military training academy and all the training and activities are designed and presented to make you feel comfortable and safe and to allow you to perform the tasks and learn at your own time.
Who can book and join a Survive Life camp ?
Anyone over the age of 18 can join this camp. Regardless previous experience or ability. We welcome both men and woman on our camps.
Where is the Survive Life camp held ?
The Survive Life camp is run at the Gouritsmond, Western Cape branch where our team of friendly instructors will make you feel welcome.
Will I be safe on the camp and will I have privacy when sleeping etc ?
Yes, We keep men and woman sleeping areas apart and you will have as much privacy on the camp as you need. We are always open to meeting individual needs should you have any concerns. Simply let us know.
Where will I sleep on the camp ?
You will sleep in a comfortable safari tent for most of the camp with a short section of the camp where you will sleep in a provided waterproof shelter tarp and in a shelter that you will build yourself.
What will I eat on the camp ?
You will receive nutritious meals for most of the camp and during the survival training you will be provided with rationed food to allow you to experience the full survival training experience. You will never be forced to eat anything that you do not want to. On the last 7-days of the camp you will be provided with nutritional meals to meet your requirements. We cater for any special dietary needs. Just let us know if you require any special food for personal lifestyle choice, health or religous reasons.
Can I add the qualifications I earn on this camp to my CV ?
Yes ! All the certifications and qualifications that you will earn on this camp is accredited by STASA (Survival Training Association of South Africa) which is an international accreditation.
How much does a Survive Life camp cost ?
Our Survive Life camp is priced well below competitor prices as we believe in fair business practices which you will learn on our camps. At only R9950 per person for the 7-day camp and R29950 per person for the 4-week camp.
Do I need to book and pay for the camp all at once ?
No, you only need to pay a 50% deposit to book and secure your place and the remaining course fee is only payable 30-days before the start of your camp.
How do I book and pay in South-Africa and also when I want to book from anywhere in the world ?
To book your place simply complete the contact form on the website or e-mail us to make your booking. We will send you an invoice and you can pay with secure EFT bank transfer. For international students we will create a secure link on our online shop for payment from anywhere in the world.
